    My purpose is to investigate and test new Internet technologies
    and integrate the best into client websites.  I also oversee
    production and maintenance of client web sites for the Portland 
    office of the advertising agency and recommend hardware and
    software tools.

    Leading companies and groups onto the internet and teaching them how
    to use the new technologies in ways to further the interests of their

    Network Computing Devices, inc.             Beaverton, OR
    Responsible for the creation and electronic delivery of all Internet
    content.  Built first and second generation NCD web sites.  Integrated
    incoming web data into NCD sales databases.  Manage web content and CGI
    programs on UNIX webservers.  Training NCD employees in use of web
    creation tools and tricks.  

    Senior Technical Support Engineer           May 1994 - November 1995
    Network Computing Devices, inc.             Beaverton, OR
    Worked as part of the Technical Support staff for PC-Xware and related
    network utilities.  Addressed customer problems with integrating our
    products into their computing environments which include a wide variety
    of UNIX, MS Windows, and occasionally VMS computers using the TCP/IP
    networking protocol.  Required extensive knowledge of UNIX, Windows,
    TCP/IP, software, hardware, problem solving and communication skills.

    Research Assistant                          September 1991 - August 1993

    SAS statistical programming on VAX, IBM 3083, UNIX, and IBM PC.  Data
    analysis, report generation, training, and documentation for various
    research projects.  System administration on HP-UX.  The two largest
    projects I was part of included:
    * moving a gigabyte of US Census data on IBM 9-track tapes to usable
      datasets on HP-UX dat tape
    * cleaning a corrupted data set where I employed ten students to re-code 
      and re-enter the incorrect records
