Amtrak Fails at Testing … in more than one way

A poorly tested web site is not nearly as much of a problem as a poorly debugged process for driving a passenger train:

Sadly, three people died from that mistake.  The blow-back seems to include a malfunctioning web site.  In a few days I am taking Amtrak from Portland to Tacoma (on the proven track with the old train).  But I need to change the day I leave.  Pity the web site won’t let me do it:

Well then.  Not very helpful.  I guess I’ll use the phone to ring up their call center.

Listen people, pay attention.  Double-check your work.  Is that too much to ask?
