AMAZING MISSIONS - Assessment Training Institute

When looking for a web design company to help her redesign her company's website, Barbara Carnegie learned that all she had to do was ask.

"I started looking at other websites that had the kinds of design elements I wanted to include in our site," Carnegie said. "I saw that the Transitions for Health website had features similar to what I was looking for. When I talked to the people at Transitions, they had the most positive response of any one I talked to about the company who created their website."

That company was Amazing Online Marketing.

When Carnegie, Communications Director for Assessment Training Institute in Portland, Oregon, was hired, she was charged with giving the company a new look. That included a new online presence. While the company, which provides classroom assessment training, already had a website, it wasn't technologically sophisticated enough to accommodate the needs of the company.

"We wanted people to be able to sign up and order from us online, said Carnegie. "We also wanted to be able to capture our site visitors in order to build an email database.

Carnegie knew that a web development company that was too small wouldn't be able to handle the technical demands involved in creating the kind of website she wanted. While she didn't want to work with a huge company, she also didn't want to work with a one-man-band that didn't have the capabilities she was looking for.

"I needed a company that had the necessary resources and wouldn't be gone in six months," she said. Amazing's staying power in an industry that's known for its volatility, plus their pool of on-staff and freelance help convinced Carnegie that Amazing was worth giving a try.

It turned out to be the right decision. Throughout the process Carnegie was impressed with the level of attention she received from Amazing. "Cora Crary and Craig Giffen [from Amazing] have been wonderful to work with," she said. "They were very responsive, quick and accessible."

Carnegie also appreciated Craig's willingness to work with her to bring her staff up to speed on maintaining the site once it was completed. While Amazing will continue to make the more complicated changes, Carnegie wanted a couple of people on her staff to be able to make more routine updates.

Now that the new site has been deployed, Carnegie says her experience working with Amazing was very positive. And like her Transitions for Health counterparts, if somebody came to her and asked her who created the site, Carnegie would feel perfectly comfortable recommending Amazing to them.
