AMAZING MISSIONS -East Penn Bank
The founders of East Penn Bank perceived a problem - the only banks serving the Lehigh Valley of eastern Pennsylvania were gigantic faceless corporations that didn't have time or interest in being part of the lives of the local community. Thus - East Penn Bank was born with founding principles such as customers being able to talk with actual humans at their bank and the revolutionary idea that money deposited into the bank could not be invested more than 25 miles from the main branch.
The East Penn Bank Web site continues this ideal of service by succinctly presenting the list of Bank services with a minimum of fuss and overhead. East Penn Bank follows through with the promise of personal service by listing the name and phone number of each and every employee through the online staff directory. This interactive is cleverly engineered by Amazing so that the EPB staff can add/edit/delete staff themselves via a Web browser interface. It also allows visitors to email EPB staff directly through the Web site but hides the actual email address from spammers.
Another interesting feature of the East Penn Bank site is the online interest rates. EPB was one of the first small banks in the country to list, and keep up to date, their interest rates online. At any time, visitors can see what the bank is offering. These rates are also keep current by bank staff through a password-protected Web interface without additional help from Amazing.
Most recently, Amazing has added in loan calculators and links to East Penn Bank's online banking service.
