"Coming into a complicated project halfway isn't always easy, but Amazing was able to pick up and surpass our project expectations." After a previous contractor left Portland State University's assessment system in mid-stage, Tera acted on a recommendation from a colleague and hired Amazing to piece back her project.

Feeling behind the 8-ball, Tera laid out specific challenges for Amazing. "First, we needed to clean up the 30% that was done before. Secondly, we wanted a new system that would eliminate reams of time-consuming paperwork and give us immediate special needs evaluations for 1000's of students statewide. I am happy to report Amazing delivered all that and more."

Amazing developed the Extended CLRAS (Career and Life Role Assessment System) software that not only directs teachers to the correct assessment form for each particular student, but also guides them through the entire process. Results are calculated instantly after entering the data. CLRAS can also track each student over a 20-year period, which can be instrumental in guiding those students towards their best future.

According to Tera, Amazing's online version of the Extended CLRAS assessment can be accessed by all Oregon schools and can be used in combination with other online assessments. "The system functions so well that once the process is in place, there is no need to revise it," she adds. "Only the requirements set by the state will change and we can implement those changes to the system."

"Because of the online system, teacher's reliance on paper for the assessment has been reduced by 75%, the time saved in processing the assessment forms is phenomenal and student progress can be tracked over time. In so many ways, Amazing did a great job for us."
